2025 Ural Adventure Ride
/Our 2025 Ural Adventure Ride was held the weekend of Friday 31st October to Sunday 2nd November, a three-day ride leaving from Uralla to make our way north taking the back roads to Tenterfield for the weekend. A good ride on country roads apart from a dead end stop due to a minor error on the organiser’s GPX files 😊
Saturday was a ride to the east of Tenterfield with all riders negotiating a steep downhill section before arriving at the Lunatic Hotel in Drake for morning tea. We then rode Rocky Creek Road where one of our riders had a bit of an incident, losing his sidecar wheel on a dodgy cattle grid! With plenty of helpers, the bike was loaded onto the recovery trailer and taken back to town while the rest of the group continued on their way, enjoying the roads and scenery.
Unfortunately, later in the afternoon, the group rode into a hailstorm before arriving back in Tenterfield. No damage to bikes or riders, all just feeling a little cold and wet!
We were on the road again Sunday morning, enjoying a bright and sunny ride along winding roads and forest trails before arriving in Deepwater for lunch. From there, riders headed for Uralla or some returned to Tenterfield to stay another night before all headed for home Monday.
Another great weekend riding. A huge thanks must go to our ride organisers, Greg Jansen of Rocky Creek Designs, along with Mat from Ural Australia HQ, for organising such a fantastic weekend of Ural riding spent with friends reunited and new friends made.
As always, we had a great bunch of people, great riding and wonderful comradery shared as we rode together!
